Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
