Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed based on standard protocol and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson stated in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This event is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
