FC Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
