He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" associated with the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making controversial statements that were widely condemned by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "disturbing" and remarked they demonstrated a worrisome absence of compassion.
